About this storage

Back in 2019, I met someone who did web design. I loved watching him code for hours, then picturing myself doing the same. It took six years, but I finally felt confident enough to try coding without a safety net — so I enrolled in a coding bootcamp with modules. Right now I'm finishing the first module, Web Design, and shyly learning to code with HTML5 and CSS. That's why I bought this domain and started building while waiting for the next module to open. I'll update the code with every module, and hopefully by the end of the year this storage will run on its own CRUD system so I'm not doing everything by hand. It's a long road from here to there.

Why this content?

That's a different story. It started two years ago, while I was working for an NGO. I had a dream that stuck with me for days. A friend told me: "Girl, if you don't have storage space on your laptop, why not post it on YouTube — just for yourself, at least." So I made my first upload: an image, a quote from a book, and the song, as an MP3. I loved the process and made more, and more — then I discovered The Apothecary Diaries and started writing short essays on anime. Here's the twist: none of it was ever planned. It was a random expression of my passions, good days and bad. Eventually I freed up my SSD, since YouTube offered unlimited storage for all of it. I never imagined anyone would actually watch. So — thank you to my 513 subscribers. Your views make my days better.

What about the other channels?

Storing everything in one folder made it hard to find what I needed when I needed it. So I created Jester's Veranda for stories and cooking, My Kite Codes for my coding journey, and a separate channel just for business. The business channel came a year after I actually learned to code. Think of all these channels as different folders in one storage system. You can still find my old anime content on Clubul Anime-urilor Refuzate — I won't delete it unless YouTube asks me to.

Ko-fi is what I use as a makeshift database for now. I don't know how to build a real one yet, so Ko-fi does the job. As I learn, I plan to eventually build my own with MySQL and PHP.
